If you would like to book one of our apartments, please get in touch, either by phone or email.  A deposit of 20% of the total rental is required to secure your booking, either by cheque made payable to Lyonnesse House, or by BACS, please contact us for details. When this is received, we will contact you to confirm your booking.  The remainder of the rental is due 4 weeks prior to your arrival. Please let us know at this point when you will be arriving and we will endeavor to ensure that someone is here to meet you. Please also confirm the number of guests, including children and dogs, and let us know if you have any special requests regarding high-chairs, cots, dog beds etc…

Should your arrival be in less than 4 weeks from the time of booking, the full total should be paid at time of booking.

Please note, reminders will not be sent.  Non-payment of the balance by the due date may be taken as cancellation and we shall do our utmost to re-let the property. If this is not possible, you remain obliged to pay the full amount.

Please note we are unable to take bookings more than 11 months in advance.

Arrival and departure

Please let us know of your travel plans when paying the final balance four weeks prior to your arrival.  Apartments will be available from 2pm on day of arrival, and we ask guests to vacate their accommodation by 10am on the day of departure. You are very welcome to store luggage at Lyonnesse on arrival and prior to leaving the islands.

If travelling by Skybus, all flights are met by minibus and you will be brought straight down to the front door.  Should you be on the Scillionan, clearly label your luggage for Lyonnesse House and it will be delivered, enabling you to take the 5 minute walk to Lyonnesse.  You will see the house from across the harbour as you walk up the Quay.  Follow the main road through town, it will narrow to squeeze past Bordeaux shop and the Galley Restaurant.  Keep the park on your right hand side as you walk up the Strand, and you will find Lyonnesse on your right, next to the Catholic Church and opposite Holgates Green.


Once your booking has been confirmed, you are legally bound to pay for the cost of your holiday in full, and therefore, we strongly recommend that you take out suitable cancellation and travel insurance.




We appreciate that sometimes even the best laid plans must change. Should you need to cancel your reservation with us, for whatever reason, we will do our very best to re-let the apartment.  However, if this is not possible, you remain liable for the full costs.

Should you need to cancel with us, please contact us by telephone, and then as soon as possible by written confirmation.


We will do our very best to maintain our apartments to the highest standard, but should there be a problem, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us during your stay, as we are unable to help you after your departure.  We are keen to hear any ideas and suggestions you might have in order to improve our apartments in any way.

Cleaning and damage charges

Please leave your apartment in good condition so that we are able to clean it prior to the arrival of our next guests.  We reserve the right to charge for extra cleaning, repair or replacement if necessary.


Please remember that smoking is strictly not permitted in any part of the house.


If an apartment is unavailable for the dates booked for reasons beyond our control, such as fire, flooding etc… we will endeavor to find alternative dates or accommodation for your stay. Should this not be possible, we will refund any money paid to us for accommodation, however we will not be liable for any other loss incurred.
